Dr. Deny Willy Junaidy delivered a talk at Telaah Desain hosted by Bandung Design Archive (BDA) & Tujusemesta (Bandung Creative Hub, 5 May 2018)
His talk raised the issue on Gjoko Muratovski’s book “Research for Designers” that today’s design services, processes, and organizations are no longer suffice. Designers need to demonstrate the validity of claims and evidence. Practice-Based Research (PBR) should be expanded to be Practice-Led Research (PLR). The primary focus of the PLR is to advance knowledge about practice, where PLR includes practice as an integral part of its method.
